Yamaha XTZ 150 Overview
The dual-purpose XTZ 150 comes with an attractive design and it gets three modish colour options. It offers a high ground clearance of 235 mm which helps it tackle the most challenging terrains. This dual-sport gets raised front fender and an upswept exhaust like the Iconic Yamaha DT 250. It is equipped with a telescopic suspension at the front end and a swingarm linked monocross suspension at the rear end. The Yamaha XTZ 150 gets a single disc brake on the front wheel and a mechanical drum brake on the rear wheel. It has a kerb weight is 131 kg and it has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres.
The Yamaha XTZ 150 is equipped with a 149cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, motor. It uses a modern electronic fuel injection system and its engine is air-cooled. This Yamaha Dirt bike is linked to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox that restricts its top-end performance. Its single-cylinder engine makes 12.5 PS of max power at 7,500 rpm and 13.1 Nm of max torque at 6,000 rpm. The performance figure of this dual-sport is not that exciting but it offers a decent fuel economy. Yamaha XTZ 150 Price in India and Launch Date
Yamaha has plans to launch an adventure bike in the entry-level segment for the Indian market. The brand may bring the XTZ 150 to India as they already have three models in their lineup based on the same engine and platform. The Yamaha XTZ 150 price in India is expected to be in the range of Rs 1.30 to 1.35 Lakh. Once launched, its prime competitors will be the Honda X-Balde, and Hero XPulse.
Our Verdict on the Yamaha XTZ 150
The XTZ 150 is a simple and easy to maintain dual-sport bike that allows the rider to experience the best of both worlds. It gets a single-cylinder 4-stroke engine which we think is quite underpowered for a dual-sport bike. The build quality of this bike is good and it offers a comfortable ride. Yamaha has also skipped modern features like LED headlights & slipper clutch on this model which is a bummer. The Yamaha XTZ 150 is nowhere like its premium sibling the WR 155R, but it is a decent option if you want a budget-friendly and easy to maintain dual-sport bike.
