Our Verdict on the Toyota Tacoma
To begin with the design and styling, the Tacoma still looks handsome and enticing, especially the TRD trims. Its 3.5 V6 direct-injection engine is powerful and it delivers decent performance and towing calibre. The automatic transmission gets a little clumsy at times but you have the option to choose the smoother manual transmission. In terms of interior fit & finish and cabin space, it loses out to its competitors. While it offers best-in-class off-road performance, the ride quality on city roads is not soo pleasant. The Toyota Tacoma is one of the best mid-size pickup trucks in the market if you are looking for off-roading and hauling heavy loads.
