You will see the new TVS Apache 220 swanking the same sharp and aggressive design as its siblings. It will get a muscular fuel tank with extended aggressive tank cowls on both sides. The heart of this streetfighter will be a newly engineered 220cc liquid-cooled unit. The TVS Apache 220 will be powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, engine that will meet the latest BS6 emission standards. It will come with a Bosch closed-loop fuel injection system that will help it deliver better fuel efficiency and smooth throttle response. This streetfighter will be mated to a 6-speed transmission along with a race-tuned slipper clutch system that will allow it to deliver superior top-end performance. The TVS Apache 220 could produce nearly 24 hp of peak power and 21 Nm of peak torque. It might come with three riding modes like the smaller Apache modes.
Suspension and Brakes
The Apache 220 is expected to be fitted with telescopic inverted front forks with preload adjuster and a Showa rear mono-shock absorber. The preload adjuster will let the rider choose between a softer or stiffer suspension setup on the go. This TVS streetfighter will derive its braking power from a 300 mm petal disc brake on the front wheel and a 240 mm petal disc brake on the rear wheel. After the launch of the TVS Ronin, we are optimistic about the possible launch of the Apache 220. This new streetfighter bike will be fitted with a powerful single-cylinder engine. Its race-derived motor will offer riveting performance across the rev band. It will come with a 6-speed gearbox that will allow the TVS Apache 220 to deliver a much better top-end performance compared to its 200cc sibling.
It will be riding on a reliable stiff synchro double-cradle frame that is seen on all RTR 4V series bikes. The premium USD forks and rear mono-shock absorber of the Apache 220 will be tuned to deliver agile and sharp handling. TVS will use larger disc brakes to provide this bike with adequate braking power. In terms of features, we expect to see this streetfighter to be packed with a lot of gizmos. The new TVS Apache 220 will help the brand compete against the premium streetfighter in the entry-level segment.
